This morning Bobby and I were out the door at 5:45am heading up to Cottonwood to hit the Super Walmart before we went to Prescott. We were able to get the last 3 V-tech hand held video games for my 3 grandsons and some other great gift deals for various members of our family as well as some fun stuff for us. After Walmart we headed up to Jerome where we went into a little restaurant where I had coffee to warm up and Bobby had a beer and an awesome Bloody Mary that was made with Chile soaked peppers. Afterwards we drove to Prescott and went to Bucky's Casino. This is the first time I have been to this casino, it's very small but very nice, especially because I walked out with some extra money in my pocket. Helped out with that $400 we spent at Walmart, LOL! We were home by 6:00pm and we had a great day! So tomorrow I get to clean the house and afterwards we're going to put up the Christmas tree, decorate the house and wrap the gifts. Well, hopefully Bobby will help with me with the Christmas decorating in between him building our built in barbeque. Yes, he is on another one of his projects. I'll post pics when it's completed! Oh yeah, and tonight we get to babysit our beautiful little Caden, can't wait! I hope everyone has a great weekend and happy shopping!

Christian and Stephanie Nielson (plane crash survivors)
Not sure if any of you are following the story and or blog for Christian and Stephanie Nielson of Mesa, AZ. They were involved in a plane crash on Aug. 18, 2008 and miraculously they both survived. Even though I have never met Stephanie or her husband I feel very close to them and pray for them daily. For one I think it may be because they live in Mesa, AZ which is where I was born and spend 43 years of my life. They actually lived only a few miles from where I use to live. I love the way she lives and looks at life, how she is with her husband, kids, family, friends, etc. She just loves life and you can tell in her pictures. As soon as I read about them and started reading her blog I felt a deep connection and could not get them out of my mind. I was praying, thinking about them constantly. I would go to bed praying and thinking about them, wake up in the middle of the night thinking about them. They both touched me and I can tell that I'm not the only one they have touched. The dr's don't understand how Stephanie survived with over 80% of her body badly burned but she did and is now in a Utah rehabilitation facility close to her family, husband and children. I tell you it the power of prayer and also the love that everyone has for them. I believe everything happens for a reason, although I question God about certain obstacles that happen in my life. My question to him is "What am I supposed to learn from this?". I don't think God did this to teach Christian and Stephanie something I think he did it to teach us something.....how to look and live life like they do, live in the moment, etc.
If you have some time and want to know more about them read the article and her blog, you will find out what an amazing woman, daughter, mother, wife, sister and friend she is and how much her and Christian love each other and what an amazing family they have. Here is an article about them that was in the New York Times. Please pray for them and their 4 children. They both have a long road ahead of them and she has many, many more surgeries but with all the love and prayers I have faith that she will be okay and they will be okay. Christian has already gone through what she is starting to go through so he is there for her. He said he will never leave her. What an amazing man he is and the deep love they have for each other. May God Bless you both and my thoughts and prayers are always with you and your family.

Weekends over!
Gosh, it's been awhile since I have posted to my blog, I will try to post more often. Well this weekend was grandchildren weekend. Yesterday, was our Thanksgiving since we won't have Daisy and Brandon this year. Bobby worked and while he worked I was slaving away in the kitchen. I roasted a 20 lb. turkey in our convection oven, made stuffing, mashed potatoes, broccoli casserole, sweet potatoes with brown sugar/pecan topping (all from scratch), rolls, gravy and cranberry. It was so yummy! Angelo, Amanda and Caden joined us along with my grandson Lil' Richie. Richie and Daisy had a blast playing outside, he is quite the character. He wanted Daisy to take a picture of his nana and him making a funny face, so here it is, just for you mijo! All in all, it was a good day but I was in bed at 9:00 on a Sat. night, LOL! The cooking and kids wore me out. This morning I got up early and got ready for church. Angelo, Amanda and Caden met us there and they wanted to go Christmas shopping and I told them I would watch Caden. Well 8 hours later they showed up, LOL! Thank goodness he is such a good boy, he was actually no problem at all. Daisy really helps out alot, she is so good with the little ones, knows just how to keep them occupied.
So what is every one's plans for Turkey Day? Bobby and I are going to my sister Sylvia and her husband Vince's house and my mom and kids will be there.
We're picking up Lil' Richie on the way and taking him with us. It's nice that he lives so close now, can spend more time with him.
Yea, it's a short week, only 3 days of work. Turkey day on Thursday and on Friday Bobby and I are heading up to Sedona with Daisy and Brandon and meeting some friends of ours up there to picnic and hang out. Hopefully it won't be too cold as we heard on the news that cold weather is coming for Thanksgiving, but than again it will make it feel more like the holidays and get us all in the spirit! Well, everyone have a great week and Happy Thanksgiving!
